Infobase Solutions is a rapidly growing information technology consulting and recruitment firm specializing in financial industry. One of our clients (a major bank) is currently looking for JavaScript Developer (NodeJS) to design, develop and maintain the application for internal use.

As a client-facing JavaScript developer, you’ll acquire domain knowledge in the client’s area of business focus. You’ll contribute suggestions and creativity to the team and work with senior team members to validate design and implement decisions.

About this role:

• Conduct tasks related to feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, risk technology, applications development, model development, and establish and implement new or revised applications systems and programs to meet specific business needs or user areas
• Monitor and control all phases of development process and analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation as well as provide user and operational support on applications to business users
• Utilize in-depth specialty knowledge of applications development to analyze complex problems/issues, provide evaluation of business process, system process, and industry standards, and make evaluative judgement
• Consult with users/clients and other technology groups on issues, recommend advanced programming solutions, and install and assist customer exposure systems
• Ensure essential procedures are followed and help define operating standards and processes
• Serve as advisor or coach to new or lower level analysts

About you:

• Strong fundamentals in computer science and software construction
• Demonstrated experience on React and NodeJS
• Experience with web technologies (HTML, CSS, etc.)
• Familiarity with Linux is an asset
• Familiarity with KVM, AWS, React, and Python are assets
• Eager to learn and willing to take initiatives
• Proven success in contributing to a team-oriented environment
• Proven ability to work creatively in a problem-solving environment
• Excellent communication skills
